Whether you’re a casual viewer or a die-hard fan, having a clear understanding of the MSI 2025 timeline and what’s new will help you follow the action with ease.
What Is MSI?
To start, MSI is the second major international event in the League of Legends competitive calendar, taking place after the Spring Split in each professional region. It brings together champions from regions like NA (North America), EU (Europe), LCK (Korea), LPL (China), and many others. This tournament serves as a mid-year barometer for team strengths, meta shifts, and player skills worldwide.
Unlike the World Championship, which is usually held late in the year, MSI offers a glimpse of the evolving competitive scene at its midpoint. It’s also a vital preview of what to expect in the Summer Split and the upcoming Worlds.
